I'd say SHINee for sure. Over the years they've tried out so many different concepts, but they pull of each concept very well and they always deliver with quality. I like how they don't just follow trends.

Yeah dolls usually end up kinda funny looking and don't look anything like who they're supposed to be. Chibi dolls look fine though. I think it's better when idols just have mascots instead tbh.
