I have a friend like that, and he's currently ignoring his entire TBR because he hates his current read, but is also one of those people who has to finish a book if he reads even a sentence of it. I'm like.... life is too short to spend my time wading through any media that isn't even fun to...

That makes sense to me. I feel like nonfiction does need a bit more time to set the stage, especially if the topic is dense or complicated, but you can get the tone for a YA book immediately.

That's fair. I drop books immediately if I come across something gross I wasn't prepared to read.

I have hate read some books in full, like, I want to be able to accurately describe all the ways in which this book sucks. :lisalaugh:

I used to give books more of a chance, but I slogged through some mid af books last year.

Just DNF'd two books after the first five chapters (roughly 30 minutes audiobook) were boring. :susPepe: I DNF pretty aggressively.
