The Poppy War by R.F.Kuang.
So the first chapter was very dense-25 pages which made it drag a bit for me. BUT that being said the storyline is super interesting, though my brain is rotting from school so this may be one better suited for when I am not studying.
One of my uncles. I'm pretty sure he's just super awkward around women but most of our family is women so it makes it hard to hold a conversation with him. But we also think he's starting to get dementia which is making it worse-sadly.
So it can be multiple films but basically what I wrote above...
what is the movie you constantly go back to and could watch OVER and OVER again
and NEVER get bored of it?
For me, I watched The Proposal Tuesday night and then watched it again yesterday.
I've watched that movie about 5 times...
It originally landed on a book I just put on hold so I grabbed the next one which was Happiness Falls by Angie Kim. So the first chapter was very wordy, but it gave me a lot of questions that would hopefully be answered by the end of it. I will say it didn't pique my interest like I wanted it to...
Once took time off for my grandma being sick and also possible covid and a result was me quitting my current job at the time. That one caught me off guard.
I would agree it's the cynic in you.
I don't really think this post was made with the intent of people commenting to play devil's advocate but more so to vent about how sad it is that we don't listen to each other. And yes, us stating that here won't change it in reality but it's comforting to...
Flip the Script by Lyla Lee.
First chapter was light and sweet and easy to read-though I do think it's a little wordy and overly explains things BUT I think it would be a quick and fun read based on the first chapter.
So this one gave me Shelf B and the book it landed on was Gearbreakers by Zoe Hana Mikuta.
TBH the first chapter was VERY confusing but intriguing. I want to know more.
:susPepe: :susPepe:
So I have 4 TBR shelves for reading.
I've done something similar to this in the past.
But I have really been struggling with reading as of late
so I need a creative solution to get me to pick up something and REALLY read it.
So comment a number between 1-22.
Then I will spin the random wheel...
I give myself a moment to cry and then I push through and finish it. Then I vent to myself about it or someone else who doesn't read so I won't spoil it.
One of my favorite series has an ending that destroys me, but I still absolutely LOVE it.
"Put your p*nis away please"
"Time to squeeze ya bootie"
"That's a nice vein"
"What a good girl/boy!"
**She is not afraid song**
Those are ones I say multiple times a week because of my job lol
:taesquish: :taesquish: :taesquish:
In day-to-day life probably "What in the ACTUAL fuck?!"...
