In Season two, we only started seeing group battle forming in Episode 3. But there was 16 teams in S2 and it still wasn't as bad. It really seems rushed in general?

I feel like they've already chosen their favourites and want to get through with this quickly in general so the ranking stays the same. I can't explain it any other way. >:
