Ah, no! This is a character from the show Alice in Borderland, her name is Kuina. (The actress is Aya Asahina.) The character's just super cool, and I love the show. :pikahappy:
It varies! Some of the second gen songs have aged really well to me, and I still really like them, like BESTie's Love Options. But some of the excessive processing that was common on a lot of that gen's songs don't sound as nice to me now, and the songs just sound like a relic of their time...
That's fair! It's one thing to go "this thing I already like is extra cool because it's totally theirs." But I don't really get the fans who feel the need to make themselves like something they don't just because the artist was heavily involved.
I'm of the opinion that I think writing a song and producing it and playing the instruments and singing it and making up choreography are all different skill sets. It's cool if someone is good at more than one of those things, but I actually only need the group to be good at the singing it bit...
I bet it does work. :pepesmug: An old gym I went to had installed a frozen yogurt machine, which always seems like... Not that in line with the average gym goer's goal. But there's sometimes a difference between what people say they want and what they actually want.
Yes! I think I sold cookie...
Something I was told by a mentor once is that you have to boast a bit, or else no one will know about the cool things you did! Which makes sense, even though it doesn't make actually doing it easier lol
It's ubiquitous here!! They even camp outside my gym, which seems like an odd target market, but what do I know.
Ah, I remember doing that as a kid. Kind of insane now to think about how I asked my neighbors to buy overpriced wrapping paper so my school had funds. It's funny what things are...
Ah, that careful balance!! I know what you mean. It's nice to be praised, but hard to go against so much conditioning that you shouldn't call attention to yourself.
