Sad but true. It probably feels like one of those things that people won't care about, like how hotels have high taxes that locals like because they don't pay them. And the people who do pay them don't have a voice.
Touring is a pretty big industry, so I'm guessing they saw $$$, not caring that this will shut some artists out and likely raise ticket prices on the fans of others. 🙁
This would be a huge blow to artists, particularly smaller acts, who heavily rely on that tour revenue.
