I like to think of every element of an aesthetic as separate things, not as one whole. I have a signature and I have a DP. Those 2 aren't associated in any way in my mind. I'm happy you are learning and improving! It must be incredibly tough, but I'm sure you can do it!

like srsly, this shiz is hard to mess up. Also top for boiling potatoes, put the lid on top of the pot (but not totally on, leave a little hole to allow the steam to get out) that way the water gets hot and stays hot faster and the potatoes get ready quicker!

the worst thing that can happen is you overboiling the potatoes! Which really isn't that bad, the potatoes will just be really crumbly lmao! You can't even oversalt it, bcs you can just add more mayonnaise/sour cream to fix that!

Overall yeah mix and match what you like! Potato salad is like actually one of my favourite foods! it is really filling and it's nice bcs if you make enough of it, you can just take some to snack on whenever you feel hungry!

I've never really made it with bacon, it might come out weird if you fry it. You CAN try ham though I'd recommend a wiener or like... a hot dog sausage.

esssentially yeah, but it takes a LOT longer, depending on the size of the potatoes about 30-40 minutes to boil it! (and make sure to add salt) You can always poke it with a knife to make sure it is soft enough to eat. but the way Potato salad works... it is essentially diced boiled potatoes...

You could try making potato salad! This one takes a bit of time to make though, but on the bright side if you put it in the freezer it can be edible for a few days! I assume you know how to boil potatoes and eggs? (asking just to be sure)
