The oven has a built-in shutoff timer, and I've gotten into the habit of using it every time I use the oven. Ovens don't lose heat easily after shutoff anyway, so it's no big deal to restart the oven if I need to extend the baking time.

Can't remember this ever happening to me. The ovens I use have timers that shut off the oven.
