On Android, if you long press on the Spotify icon you'll get a menu that lets you pick icons for the last few playlists you used. You can press on one of the playlist icons and drag it to a spot on your home screen. You can then edit or replace the icon (the graphic) if you wish. I don't know...

Here are two icons on my phone's home screen. The one on the left opens Spotify to the default home screen. The one on the right opens Spotify with my Red Velvet playlist.
