I agree. Income from comebacks and/or nonmusical sources such as CFs and other commercial tie-ins. The latter will require a parent company with connections, though. Which is why Aespa and ITZY are able to do these. I'd expect far fewer girl groups to debut. Prior to COVID the gg market...
