5 guys has good fries but the quality of potatoes they use is really poor. They use really high quality Oil and good seasoning. Their potatoes are not processed which makes them very vulnerable to seasonal issues. Potatoes in winter have a low sugar content and what sugar they has migrated to...

The best french fries are from a small restaurant in Bakersfield California called Golden Ox. I have no idea what they put in their fries but they are amazing.

Ironically, McDonalds has really high quality standards for their fries... Potatoes are graded in 10 quality standards. McDonalds will only use the top 5 of the highest. But I agree, they are not the best by far.

Popeye's, but since I no longer have one of those near me. I'll go with Wendy's.
