My guess is that they just have model that operates based on membership. Many free-time/hobby clubs etc. have membership, so I guess they get enough volunteers who are also members and also support the shelter financially by being the member- or there is some kinds of perks being the member?

I watched it while ago, before it got delayed and all. Tbh, I kinda expecting sth else- kinda just new improved version of S1 so I wasn't fully on board with the different direction. But I have to see if I will like it more when they get to digital world (which is more interesting to me).
