Not infected, per se, but I've had an injury go permanent once. I fell bad on my left wrist a few summers back, and I was so convinced it was just a sprain that I held off on an x-ray until too late. Now there's a little crick in it.

It can be loud at times. I live right next to a busy road AND near a fire station, so I hear a lot of sirens, car honks, etc. throughout the day. It's pretty quiet right now, though.
