Unless there's a law that doesn't allow it, it's your and your best friend's choice. If you kiss in public, expect that people think you are a couple. But I would stop doing it if you have a partner (or your best friend is in a relationship). Otherwise kissing your best friend could cause a...

That's the point. I don't know how old you are but especially in highschool rumours spread very fast.

First and foremost it's a private thing between you and your best friend. If your best friend is ok with it, why not? But you shouldn't do it in public if you want to avoid gossip.
