There are groups that have a few good songs and there are the groups I stan. When I stan a group, I like most songs of their discography. When a group change their style fundamentally, I still listen to their old songs but I stop stanning them. That said, I'm ready to go back into 'stan mode'...

The overall performance is more important than singing skills IMO. In the production studio, singing skills got less relevant since there is vocal pitch correction software like AutoTune. On stage, a good overall performance (visuals, dancing, and especially charisma) can balance weaker singing...
