I saw your comment and just wanna say I completely agree. I'm an "older" kpop fan myself, joining in the 2nd generation (2012) but an opinion is an opinion. People can have them no matter when they got into kpop. Completely agree with what you said

If they only stan one group, that's fine too. As long as they don't trash the genre as a whole. They do have to recognize the foundation created by groups before them, but sure we can celebrate the achievements of groups now. Kpop is an ever-evolving genre

I do think it's important to understand the history before you got into kpop, however, where I disagree is that we shouldn't disregard new fan's opinions. It doesn't matter when you got into kpop, it's the passion you have for it
