On Friday afternoon, there was an explosion at an Apple Green petrol station in the village of Creeslough, Donegal. Gardaí have started an investigation into how it happened.

The explosion at about 3.15pm was heard several miles away. It collapsed the roof of a two-storey block of flats and blanketed the forecourt in rubble and glass. The site includes a petrol station, shop, deli counter and post office. RTÉ reported that up to 30 people may have been injured.

Currently, there are 7 surviving casualties in Letterkenny University Hospital, and one male in a critical condition in St James’ Hospital, Dublin.
10 people were killed, including a mother & son, 14 year old girl, 49 year old cashier in the shop and a father & daughter who were buying a birthday cake for their wife/mother :<

That's an horrible tragedy 😕 I hope the victims and families are getting the support and help they need. I also hope they find quickly how it happened so they put prevention measures in place.
