i only watched about half of the video and went in almost completely unbiased; tbh i didnt really know all that much about what was going on but i think i got the picture now.

it's disgusting that woojin and the 10x ent staff had to suffer so much, it's digusting that people are so quick to burn someone at the stake and basically shoot down any statements from the defendant's party, but most of all it's absolutely vile that people would blatantly lie about something so serious. im genuinely happy for woojin that the found himself a company that actually cared enough to go the extra mile instead of just quietly dropping him.

that being said, im a little uncomfortable with the tone of the documentary. they make valid points, but what were they thinking with the memes and gifs and joke-y tone? even if the allegations are false, no matter how ridiculous they might be, you should always address them in a serious and professional manner. if i remember correctly people were mad last year because woojin's personal statements sounded too dismissive, so in that sense this mockumentary isnt really helping their case...

yea see, as someone who loves to be petty myself i totally agree and get your point. but there's a time and place and this situation in particular demands a stern statement with irrefutable evidence (they did deliver on the latter, the presentation was just not what it should have been). it was a serious miscalculation on 10x's part.. if they had just delivered the evidence as is there wouldve been little to no collateral damage, just facts laid out for people to accept or not. now the twitter hive mind has something else to be mad about, and it will be much harder to gain sympathy when you've given the impression that you're "mocking the situation"/mocking the public

yea i guess in that sense it does have a bigger impact. you just have to weigh your options, they couldve cooled a bit on the jokes imo but whats done is done, hopefully they managed to gain more support than anger w their video

I wish the video was more serious when discussing these things, it's a serious situation. Glad he's innocent but I don't really feel comfortable supporting him due to the advertisement for this video's release using the original accusation tweet as a teaser or an aesthetic. It's uncomfortable. And the fact that they made this in the first place. If your first thought about these things is "Let's make a documentary!!" then you are sick. If they had to make this they could have did it in a mature manner but they talked about it and as if everyone thought of it more as "cyber bullying" rather than sexual assault. It was very biased in Woojin's favor and they even took the time promote him. Plus Woojin treated the whole situations insensitivity. So personally, I don't want to support him or that company

after all i guess it's good to know that he's innocent and i sure hope that people stop bullying him over something that didn't happen but i fully understand why some people may feel uncomfortable with this documentary. i'm not blaming that on woojin since it's unlikely he did this all by himself, i just wish his company handled it in a different way.

I'm glad that he was cleared of the accusations, but I do think he and his company should've gone about this differently. I can completely understand why people would be uncomfortable with this kind of thing.

I think it's fine to talk about what happened (if he's comfortable with it), but putting a bunch of memes, jokes, and other random stuff in a video that's supposed to be serious probably wasn't the best thing to do imo

To an extent, I can understand why he didn't understand/take this seriously: it came from a nameless, faceless, made this month Twitter account and didn't receive even a fraction of the scrutiny in SK as it did abroad but an allegation is an allegation. Hire a lawyer. If your company isn't ready to be revealed and you aren't ready to handle this, don't.

Watching the documentary in full has changed my perspective entirely. It really is one of those things where you have to watch to the end to really get it.

Because sexual assault is such a serious topic, even if you're innocent, the accused are normally in a bad position in terms of public opinion (and that's usually a good thing.) Woojin put out statements- they got mistranslated, he did interviews and provided proof - people said he was lying, he tried moving on and everything he did ended being flooded with harassment and hate. He does have a right to clear his name and he really did try.

To say he's using/profiting off of/promoting himself with sexual assault misses the point pretty heavily. First off, there was no sexual assault. This is not a SA case, it's a defamation case and people really need to understand that. 2nd, he's defending himself and he has that right. The documentary barely touched on the sexual assault aspect but very heavy on the false allegations and hate campaign he went through and I feel that's for the best. They went through every allegation, debunked it, explained everything else ppl made to hate on him and made a pretty good piece about internet witch-hunts on the way.

At the end of the day, he did nothing wrong. Nobody knows and likely will ever know what happened that led to him being booted from SKZ but people have used that to make his life absolute hell. He was accused by 10s of thousands of people of things he didn't do and harassed pretty much everyday over it. He is the victim in all this and admitting that doesn't hurt actual cases of sexual assault. I don't understand why he's been getting railed over this despite being innocent and nobody says anything about those Brazilian stans that actually made light of sexual assault just to ruin an idol they didn't like. They made a mockery of serious SA allegations against people in power, not him

I'd consider being his fan after all this, provided he can actually sing and releases decent music

See, I disagree, because if the video was more "lawyery", used a lot of boring words, common patterns that are used in Korean public notices, nobody would watch it except people who believe he is innocent. Wouldn't make nearly as much impact. People saying he's using sexual assault allegations to his advantage, all I have to say is, what the hell? It's proven there was no assault, he wasn't using it as an aesthetic, the man is just rightfully defending himself from accusations that are accusing him of something that never happened? I don't think he is profiting off of the entire situation but he sure as hell should. The documentary is in the perfectly right taste, yes, the issue is serious, but the circumstances under which the issue started are far from it. If I were him, I'd name my debut album R & TV, come up with a ridiculous acronym for it and be as passive-aggressive as I could. I understand your point of view but he is not wrong, his career is nearly ruined because of this, either way he tries to portray this, people will still view him with skepticism. Instead of continuing viewing him in that lens, try to understand why he is doing this. He is making a joke about his experience of being accused of SA which can be horrifying especially in a conservative country like south korea. Don't judge somebody before he is already proven guilty & don't keep judging him in the same view when he was first accused of this. He didn't ask for this, give the man a break.
