Despite disagreeing heavily with him on certain things I've always liked JY Papi both as a person and musician, his songs 'Don't Leave Me' and 'Changed Man' are among my favorites and I got into Kim Wansun (who is now one of my favorite artists) through the latter. He can be harsh at times and I believe he was even harsher before (when he did not have kids of his own) so I understand some of the criticism that he gets, nevertheless I think he's insightful, talented and well-meaning.
He said something to Twice around their debut, I think it was on Sixteen but I can't remember exactly where so I'm paraphrasing: "It is easy to lie and deceive but I can not trick myself, when I look in the mirror I will know what I did". It's one of the things that's stuck with me for years, the way he phrased it (much better than I did) made it really click with me that what's really important to me is how I perceive myself and that is why honesty is important.
