What are some trends from 2022 that you want to keep in 2023 and what are some that you don't want to continue this year?

I love the trends of simple and nostagic songs and the hyperpop done by groups like aespa for example. I know that it's contradictory and that most of Kpop fans like one and want to get ride of the other but I love both and Kpop is a biger market than before so there is place for everyone. I like the current diversity in the industry.

I hope we continue the trend of diversity with gg in styles of music and vocal tones. I avoided most gg for years because I didn’t like that high pitched style that was popular, which is one thing I really appreciate about the rise of girl crush. There’s still that cutesy style out there if you want it, but also so much more.

I hope the groups creating fresh experimental music continue to do so. It’s okay if not everything lands, but I don’t want those groups to turn from that approach - there are plenty of groups out there doing that already if you want something like that.

I hope we continue to see artists exploring very different styles on their solo work. I’m really enjoying seeing the different perspectives the3rd Gen soloists are bringing to their respective work.

Now we know why they took their eye off the ball, but I really enjoyed seeing the Neos explore their solo capabilities. I hope that blooms into EPs or at least promoted singles vs SM station releases.

I hope we can retire bad gg rap. If you can’t do it, just go without a rapper.

I hope we keep some y2k trends but i really hope we dont bring back the bell bottom jeans that are larger from knee down only... Idk... those were my nightmares from my childhood.

I hope ppl dont trash on bg's for having only one concept, cause when they come back with a different one ppl shit on it and tell them to go back to the old ones.

I hope in 2023 kpop fandoms realize the more they fight with antis, the more hate their faves get. Every such ''protective'' quote tweets get even more quotes from antis swearing at said idol. Why are we arguing with an account that was created yesterday and is followed by 2 ppl and talk shit? Please put that energy in smth else.

I hope k youtubers and gossipers realize ''idols dating among eachother'' is not news... WE ALL KNOW. I can't even tell you the amount of netizen gossip or youtubers that make these videos and have a scandalous title to incite viewers and in their content say things like ''THEY EXCHANGED SANDWICHES OMG''. Not all of us are 14 to believe we have a chance with celebs. Also it restricts idols too, let them exchange those phone numbers in that damn bread.
