It seems like chocolate is a pre-release but I'm fine with it competing here, I've been treating this tournament like a trial for future years so if anything this gives me more thought on how to define a bside

I literally clicked on this like, "Well, this obviously isn't Baekhyun, I wonder who had 'Chocolate' as a B side this year."

But I think it can get confusing with pre-releases, popular B sides that get their own run, groups that just release a lot of MVs even if they don't formally promote it... It's a lot to keep track of, even as a fan, much less as someone trying to filter for a competition which probably includes artists you don't follow that closely yourself.

After listening to them both, Chocolate is more my vibe, but Way Up is probably the best Jennie song I've heard of hers, so kudos on that one.

I'm gonna have to make a whole criteria on what counts for soty and what counts for bside in the following years lmao I can't believe how technical it is to draw a line between the two!
This one I should've doubled checked cause it's defs a pre-release and I didn't look at it twice #whoopsies but with the little people participating plus the fact the song isn't one that did well (compared to elevator) I'm not fussed up about it being here, more of a note to be more alert and a bitch next year about this stuff lmao
