me 2 i just felt uncomfortable pretending i was straight and denying that i did have attractions to women yeah its hard to hide it from family for me i always tell them stuff but now i learnt not everyting abt me need to be shared and thats ok

I told them way later, but because I was trying to convince myself I like dudes, I dated a dude in high school. It was incredibly awkward Now they know I think, idk if they both believe me but I don’t care about that really. It’s not their life. Though my dad has been getting more homophobic lately which is annoying. Not directly in regards to me though

They can be, but they don’t have to be. Sometimes they can give people a support system that they can identify with, especially if they’re being marginalized by others. Knowing that they aren’t alone can be helpful to some. They’re imperfect, but not completely pointless to everyone
