It's Schindler's List for me, a 1993 historical film that follows Oskar Schindler as he saves over 1000 Jews during World War II.

A Nightmare on Elm Street [ '84 ].

Freddy Krueger being able to attack and murder people in their Dreams and their physical bodies being affected scared the crap out of me and I couldn't go to sleep for a good while after watching it on TV as a young child.
It also didn't help that I lived in an area called Elm Street, so it was a double mind-screw.
