Have you ever tried playing kpop songs on whatever instruments you play? How did it go?

I tried in the past to play kpop songs on the piano. It did not go well. I got like 3 chords in and gave up. Now I’m trying again and it’s going a bit better. I’m like 7 chords in. Usually not played correctly or on time but it’s a start.

Yes! I got so excited when i saw this thread lol
I’ve played the cello for about 10-11 years now
I do that a lot actually, when I’m bored I’ll play a random K-pop song, and I can usually play them by ear if I’ve listened to them enough!
Currently I’m figuring out BLACKHOLE, made it through the pre-chorus, chorus, and through wonyoungs part on the bridge!

i know pretty much 80% of xdinary heroes' discography on bass
i tried learning a few other kpop songs, like light a flame by svt and heart burn by sunmi but not much other than that

yes, did a mini trio arrangement for hann once upon a time
works surprisingly well for clarinets is all i have to say

ice cream cake obviously translates pretty ok to piano
not kpop but me learning this arrangement was the peak of my musical abilities

I don't play any instruments, but I was pretty good at violin back in my day. I probably would've been able to do some of the slower songs like Feel My Rhythm, but give me a Stray Kids song or something else that's really fast-paced, and I would stumble over the notes like holy mackerel! lol

Some K-Pop songs works fine with my electric guitar because they seem to be made for Rock and Metal covers.
