A Taiwanese Model's life got ruined because of a meme (1 Viewer)

I believe this happened around 5 years ago but a model from Taiwan called Heidi Yeh life was ruined because of a meme that surfaced the internet.
Basically she took on a modelling job that she would be photoshopped into a family portrait with a husband and 3 kids and it was for a plastic surgery ad i believe.
The company who photoshopped the picture said that the woman had plastic surgery and that she didn't tell the husband, so now the husband is suing her because their kids don't exactly look like their parents and are not exactly good looking.
However, the kids faces had been photoshopped to make them look 'ugly' and not looking anything like her and the whole story is that the husband is suing the wife because she didn't tell him that she had plastic surgery and he had won the case even though it's all made up and she didn't actually have plastic surgery.

I think that after she became a meme, not only her career was ruined but also her life and tried to even take her own life because of it.
It's a nasty story that doesn't care about the lives of others and only cares about money and how good they look in the process.

Why I stopped using social media or one of the reasons.
Once something surfaces, it spreads and what career you had can be ruined in a matter of seconds.

I feel bad for her. No one deserves that kind of treatment at the hands of the internet.
People can be so nasty online.
