The tripod fish basically stand in place until planton and other food sources float into its mouth. It had three fins that essentially extend to reach the ground. This fish can remain their for days at a time and only moves when absolutely necessary. They are also nearly blind. They also have both male and female sexual organs so any chance encounter between two tripod fish will result in little baby tripod fish, impregnating them both.​
