They said they found him in his bathtub unresponsive. They said the cause of death was that he drowned. I don't know what caused him to drown yet though. Many people think it was something to do with drugs

They actually haven't released a cause of death. The "drowning" aspect was just the 911 call that came in/what they suspect based on the scene. There was no evidence of foul play so it's going to require time and an autopsy before anything is known for sure.

My guess is they'll likely find his cause of death to be much the same as Whitney Houston's, drowning influenced by health issues/drug use. His actual list of prescribed medications is pretty intense, and several have drowsiness as a side effect. He was also a known huffer, and that can cause sudden death. Drug use overall does a lot of damage to the body, so even after quitting, it can still catch up to you.
