will you do it, or do you want your partner to take your last name? if you're married already, have you?

personally i wouldn't. it's not the norm in my culture nor in my religion, and i don't care for it as a practice anyway. marrying into someone's family doesn't change my lineage and doesn't make me an inherent part of their family in that way, so i don't see why i would adopt their family name

I am male but I wouldn't take my partner's last name and neither would my partner take mine

I wouldnt change my last name. Having different names in finland would make us instantly scandalous. But i do love me some scandal so if my partner doesnt wanna change it i am ok with that

I honestly would take my partner's last name because I don't have an attachement to my last name...

Plus, it's a long last name that usually ends up being mispelled one way or another

I did change my surname to my husband. I took my maiden name on as a second middle name. I do still use my maiden name for business purpose, though.
