twices new album felt like it HAD to be a full album if that makes sense.

a shit ton of those songs blend together to me and feel less genuine as their last tracks. I feel as though jyp knew that he couldn't pull another mini album and just put a bunch of leftover demos together and gave it to twice so they would have enough for a full album.

I mean don't get me wrong none of the bsides are terrible but the majority of them didn't really stand out to me at all. I've never been the biggest fan of twices bsides but their past few mini albums since feel special have all been progressively better. but this full album feels like a step backwards for me.

one of twices biggest issues is still saturation in their music. it's gotten better, they're not releasing every month but they're also still releasing too frequently. they JUST released in June with more and more and that was only five months ago. jyp needs to just give twice a one year break and start promoting other endeavors like the member's solos. it would generate way more hype if someone like jihyo got a solo debut then another twice comeback. the solo debut would not only build hype for jihyo but it would also build hype for the next time twice comes back. it would give twices brand something different.

even bts a group who prides themselves on being ot7 or nothing has given their rapline multiple mixtapes and have given ALL of their members opportunities to shine individually in terms of music. while this may seem like a rant it does tie into what I'm saying. twice needs something different. whether that is a solo debut or a subunit, they need to do something new.

But it is well past time for them to do solo stuff. What's gonna be there for them when their contracts are over? Absolutely nothing. Look at how WG and Miss A are fairing. JYP has the highest turnover rate amongst the B3 because they're absolutely shit at managing solo careers, which is the real reason people debut

their album was cohesive but it felt like blended together for me at a point. it's not like all the songs were bad actually none of them were terrible a lot of them just fell flat for me. actually, maybe I just didn't enjoy this comeback because the hype just wasn't there because of the oversaturation to me.

but yeah it's actually surprising that twice have done literally nothing individually, it been almost five years jyp needs to give them something new because it feels like twices peak already happened and they're just kinda declining. of course they're not flop nugus but they're not as popular as they were in 2016-2018

I agree about the fact that they should try something new like a sub-unit or a solo debut but I really love their album. Some songs like Shot Clock sounds like theirs old songs but others songs like Bring it Back or Behind the mask sounds more mature with a sick beat. The whole album stays cohesive but I am not really asking for that as long as the songs are good.
