Absolutely hate linking to TMZ, but her boyfriend reported her death to them, so every (better) media outlet is having to reference TMZ anyway.

Daveigh Chase -- the former child actress -- is dead ... TMZ has learned.

The actress' boyfriend, Roy Hernandez, tells TMZ ... Daveigh died Tuesday from meningitis and an infection in her blood, which caused her to have septic issues and led to her body shutting down.

We're told Daveigh had been admitted to a hospital in Los Angeles earlier this month because of malnutrition.

Daveigh caught her big break in Hollywood early on ... voicing Lilo in the hit Disney film "Lilo & Stitch" back in 2002 and the follow-up TV show. She also voiced Chihiro Ogino in the American dub of "Spirited Away."

I've seen Spirited Away so many times, I can hear her voice. RIP and peace to her family and loved ones. It's terrible to lose someone so young, especially to something treatable.

i remember seeing her in an episode of cold case which is my favourite tv show ever and her acting there was so great for a teenager. i had no idea she's been through that much and audibly gasped when i saw these news... 35 is no age to go. rest in peace </3
