All of this is overkill tbh. Soojin needs to apologize because she clearly fucked up but also like...talking shit about someone behind their back is so fucking common. It's not a rarity at all. Most people do it. This time it got out of hand though. But I'm grateful Shin Ae finally said something instead of continuing to be super fucking cryptic about it all.

Also, can I just say people shouldn't be punished for shit they did when they were fucking kids. When you're a kid you aren't fully developed and you fall into habits that are considered "cool" but aren't and more. You can't blame the Soojin who exists now for past behaviors but also if she had truly changed I would like to think she would apologize and admit fault-which she sort of did with the other instances but not in this case.

All she had to do was say sorry.... When you hear people talk shit about you behind your back, it hurts. But when one person talking shit leads to others doing the same, it takes a lot of toll on someone's mental health... I can personally attest to that. Apologies won't heal all wounds but a genuine one would atleast help the person to move past what happened a bit.

Tbh, I think this is really stupid and childish. I relate to her because I've heard bad things about me too but just grow up and move on.

If Soojin said such things then, it was bad on her part but doesn't it sound like the typical thing you will hear about any idol? Heck, this is the same thing people, on any forum including this one, would say about Soojin herself, which makes it very ironic.
I was waiting for the really abusive behavior and the trauma Soojin caused her but it ended up as it started: gossip, childish and petty gossip. It's not even worthy to be invested on such things and to think Soojin's career may end up for this clownery is sad.

I can understand that Soojin essentially gossiped behind her back and yes it can lead to rumors and others talking about you constantly which can make life hell so I do sympathize with Seo Shin Ae.
But I also agree that this isn’t career ending and not worth canceling someone over.

The only problem is what could have easily been resolved has only been made worse by Cube/Soojin themselves. Had they just admitted or apologized in the beginning she’d get off a lot easier. But the denials/saying she can’t remember etc. have soured the public opinion on her when it really didn’t need to reach this point. They’ve made the whole situation worse for themselves.

The way I dislike her smh, I would've still disliked her because I hate bullies, as someone who has been bullied before, but if she sincerely apologised at least it would say something about her character, or even show her consideration toward the other hardworking members who have to put up with this.

I went back and checked the initial post about Soojin and Seo Shin Ae and two of the parts of it Seo Shin Ae mentions but if the last part is also true then Soojin was actively making her life hell by the sounds of it.
