if you read what ADOR actually said they neither say the manager nor Hanni is lying but trying to placate both sidesIs it wrong that my gut reaction to this is: it's embarrassing that these companies run by grown-ass adults are playing this out in the public sphere?
My point is that there's no reason for two companies under the same overall umbrella should be playing this out in the public sphere, period. Neither BELIFT nor ADOR.if you read what ADOR actually said they neither say the manager nor Hanni is lying but trying to placate both sides
maybe they did and neither party was satisfiedMy point is that there's no reason for two companies under the same overall umbrella should be playing this out in the public sphere, period. Neither BELIFT nor ADOR.
There should be at least one person at all of HYBE with enough public awareness to have said something like "We take all accusations of harassment seriously, and are researching the specifics of the situation our idol revealed. We're very sorry for any misunderstandings and hardship that have occurred and for worrying the public." Then deal with it behind closed doors.
True, they're trying to win in the court of public opinion, which may work or they may eventually annoy people. Like, wouldn't be the first time that a celebrity has had (more or less) legit complaints, but after a while, the public just viewed their branding as "the person who complains all the time" and they lost sympathy.maybe they did and neither party was satisfied
I mean NJ (hanni) specifically went to the National Assembly and raised the issue of the alleged bullying (not to mention the live stream where she first mentioned it)
I don't know how much more public one can go than that
but regardless this is a PR war (before the actual court war)
well at least after last night NJ are currently free agentsTrue, they're trying to win in the court of public opinion, which may work or they may eventually annoy people. Maybe. I thought I saw ADOR respond with basically "lol no." I'm pretty sure you can't just announce that a contract you signed no longer applies to you? But I'm not a lawyer.well at least after last night NJ are currently free agents
well ador is the one that has to sue to stop the termination no?Maybe. I thought I saw ADOR respond with basically "lol no." I'm pretty sure you can't just announce that a contract you signed no longer applies to you? But I'm not a lawyer.
And on that note, totally unrelated to NJ in particular just thinking about it: it's very weird to me how many lawyers in kpop seem to be willing to attach their name to lawsuits without knowing in advance that the idols have evidence. You'd think a good lawyer would not want to take on a case if they didn't feel reasonably certain they would win.
Maybe? I think, in theory, ADOR and NJ could shake hands and walk away from each other, but that doesn't mean there wouldn't be early termination clauses that would come into play. And since NJ is claiming that they haven't breached the contract with their actions, they're going to have to be able to prove that to get out of paying any penalties. And that's all dependent on what their contract actually says, which gets into semantics... Even if they can prove they went to a required number of events or whatever, there may be conduct clauses or things like that. Or hell, just requesting early termination may be enough to trigger penalties in the contract.well ador is the one that has to sue to stop the termination no?
why? in any lawsuit lawyers are the ones with most to gain - win or lose they gonna get paid!!!
I think if that were even possible we wouldn't be having the civil war at all if they could negotiate - it is now well beyond the time for negotiation lolMaybe? It's really bad for your reputation, though, if you don't have a decent win rate, which you wouldn't have if you're willing to deal with frivolous lawsuits.
