So i was dining with a friend the other day, i ordered a pizza and she some fries with meat. We both ordered lemonades. When the food arrives she notices the salad is missing so i go, well tell the waitress. We continue eating and at the end at the bill it writes that there was salad, and we are charged. My friend refuses to pay for it, so i tell her to tell the waitress to correct. But she doesnt want to, she just wants to leave without paying. I dont wanna leave without saying smth or leaving less money, so i ask for her share, without the salad and i pay more to make it even (the salad was 1,5 dollars ) and we leave. And then when we walk home she thinks that I MADE HER PAY MORE, cause she cant do math and didnt add up how much her food was. I paid her salad which wasnt much. I dont mind, BUT THE FACT SHE THOUGHT I FUCKING SCAMMED HER WITH FUCKING 1,5 DOLLARS, WHEN IN FACT I PAID IT IN HER STEAD!!!!

I think you did the right thing.

First off, your friend just wanting to pay less than what's on the actual bill is wrong. If there's an issue with it, then she needed to discuss it with the staff there to get it fixed. Otherwise you pay it. That's how it works.

But since she wasn't willing to do that, you did the right thing to pay for it instead.

Then the next problem is her having an issue with that or not stopping to understand how you split it and fixed her problem for her.

In the grand scheme of things $1.50 is not huge anyway. So hopefully she'll learn to forget small things like that.

And continue to have your standard of morals, because it's good karma and energy in this world.

You paid on her behalf for what she ordered.
The fact that your friend ordered the salad and refused to resolve it easily by just telling the waitress about the missing item, then be "surprised" by the charge on the receipt after the meal makes her one.

Next time, just pay separately.
Tell your friend that because of this experience, you will NOT be paying for her meal items and also alert the waitress or waiter that your friend will be the one paying her order separately. Maybe doing that will wake her mind up and actually take responsibility.
