I got sick at school yesterday and when I came back home, I was feeling comparatively way better but I decided to stay at home anyways. The day I got sick in school, I had told my mother beforehand that I am not feeling well and let me take a leave but she just brushed it off. I didn't go to school cause I was robbed of my rightful leave the day I was sick. And she let me stay at home cause she was afraid that I might get sick again.

I was kidding. I know how hard it can get with subcontinentinental parents but I'm glad your mother understood.
