So I have had a food spreadsheet for a while now. How it is set up is that there’s one sheet where the left is a list of meals and ingredients for said meals for the next week ish. To the right I have a list of foods I like to make separated into cuisines and next to the food I list the source so I remember where the recipes are from. Then I have a sheet for desserts, followed by a sheet to draft the upcoming week. After that I had sheets for every cuisine, which contain the meals I like to make from said cuisines and a list below of all the ingredients needed. In the past , when making the grocery list for the next week, I would copy and paste the lists needed. This is tedious, and I realized when talking to someone that I maybe could set up a system where I could enter the name of the dish and it would would automatically populate the cells below with the ingredients. I didn’t know how to make it in google sheets (it really isn’t easy) but I asked ChatGPT and ChatGPT really pulled through I just explained what I wanted and ChatGPT made code for it, explained the basics, and told me which areas to alter to work with my sheets. It wasn’t perfect first try, but I just asked it to make alterations as needed and it immediately made new code with said alteration. I didn’t even have to ask it all that many things before it came up with a code perfect for my needs. Now I no longer need to copy and paste like some pleb, I can just type the name and it’ll do the rest of the work. Technology is wonderful
