Am I overworking myself? (1 Viewer)

I was enrolled in several AP classes, and I was set to graduate junior year six months early, which meant a ton more work for me. I literally stayed up until 9 AM studying one night well my classes are centered around me preparing to get a degree to teach English in foreign countries, but the classes my teachers have given me are just adding on to my current ones? I've decided to take six more months of college prep, personal finance, algebra, German and Japanese classes, so I'm taking around 12 classes now. And why do I need to be fluent in four languages? I DON'T KNOW

My family is pleased they'll finally have a successful child, but honestly, I'm just hoping this doesn't create a huge amount of stress for me.

I don't, but I want to be as successful in high school as I can before I go to college

well im gonna be completely honest...

YOU NEED TO TAKE A BREAK. trust me i come from a family were success is the most important thing but we all understand that a little bit of rest is needed to be successful and happy enough to want to be successful.
you should be so proud of yourself as well for taking so much on and being able to focus and you should keep it up but just remember to put yourself first an take care of yourself

depending on what is average number of classes in your country? that sounds alright to me. if it means graduating early, I´d do anything including studying like crazy which I had done and I have no regrets. just be careful to listen to your body and ask for help in time, organize things and it will be worth it in the end!

It's 4-8 classes according to Google though for my first two years of high school I took six. But I want to somewhat succeed in life so I'm trying to be as academically driven as I can

High school? Hmm, let me count: 15 classes for years 9 and 10. 11 for seniors. Dunno what you googked but I am looking at my report card 😂. None of those classes were voluntary btw

Mine just go off of how many credits you need to graduate. In my state, it's 24, so that's 6 classes per year

Ohoh, I feel like my life was robbed 😭. But I think you just need to reset your priorities or like make sure it is worth th it. If you are sick of school and wanna graduate early, just do your best and you will be freevsoon, BUT make a good plan of your day. Take breaks, care about your health and actively work on coping with stress in healthy ways. Ask a school councillor, make sure your fan and friends look out for you and let you know when you are showing warning signs of a burn out.
And maybe just realise that graduating like a regular person is not a fail.

all jokes aside i think you should prioritise your mental and physical wellbeing over anything. in my school you couldn't enroll in classes and to graduate you just needed 3 basic exams so i can't speak from that perspective because almost none of the subjects you mentioned were a thing here but sometimes pushing yourself too hard can do more harm than good towards your final results. anyway i wish you the best of luck!! hope everything goes well.

you're young, the last thing you wanna do is burn yourself out already when you still have a whole life ahead of u. if you feel like you can handle all this then sure, but otherwise.. you know, being a workaholic isnt all its made out to be. being able to recognize when you've reached your limit and setting attainable goals within reasonable time limits are valuable skills too, not just for your mental wellness but for your professional career as well.
