Am I the only old cranky lady who feels this way? (1 Viewer)

I don’t really like kids, I don’t mind helping in cases like my churches nursery or even hanging out with them sometimes, but I have very little energy for them ngl.

But anyways, please tell me I’m not the only one who gets up and moves away from children who don’t care about other’s personal space… Like today I went to wait for my mom out in our van because a little boy (about six) kept getting in my face to just stare at me, lifting up his shirt, kept almost flopping in my lap, etc… I felt bad because I didn’t want to seem rude but the whole situation was making me anxious.

some people like children and others don't - it's no shame or anything if you are either...

Like 4 and up I can handle but toddlers and infants scare me and actual babies trigger my flight response

sometimes i get annoyed with kids like that too. but i actually like kids a lot. so i'll put on a little smile and do my best to redirect their attention somewhere else. they usually get flustered when i say hi to them haha

The only kids I play with is my siblings who are 3 and 8.
Kids are a hit or miss, depending.
