I feel like im not mature enough for my peers sometimes because of how I act and how I have a tendency to be really loud and overexcited all the time. I just wish I got the chance to grow up normal instead of with people always treating me like shit and basically sanding me down into an oversimplified version of myself. I want the last 6 years of my life back and I want to do it over so they wont be able to hurt me. So I wont have to cry over someone that made all my friends turn on me and tell them I lied

I don't maturity is being the opposite of being loud and excited. I think maturity is knowing who you are and owning that.

It's SO much fun to have a friend who genuinely enjoys things and is ready to be happy and excited with you. I think anyone trying to squash those qualities in you is not someone who is doing you a favor.

If other people treat you poorly, that is their failure and their shame. Not yours.
