The problem is not the weapon. Never has been nor will it ever be. A gun cannot wander around shooting people.

switzerland has proper gun ownership laws and better control, plus swiss people aren't divided like americans are. i really don't like these kinds of analogies because it's just another way to downplay the danger and damage guns can cause and only works to normalize the daily shootings in the US. guns are weapons, they can kill you. you should be afraid of them. there's no fearmongering when innocent people getting hurt every day is a sad reality.

It’s honestly terrifying to think about. And instead of protecting people, they just made it worse. It’s terrifying to know that kids in schools are taught what to do if a shooter comes in. Why is that a reality?
