@Southern Rockhopper Penguin @Polar Bear @Salt-marsh Harvest Mouse

It's here! Hopefully this game only gave you a teaspoon of adrenaline... not too much.

Along with the reveal of each animal, I have collected some drawings that your fellow users drew to complete the game.

Hawksbill Sea Turtle (Critically Endangered)
1684800401820.png

"Analysis of historic and recent published and unpublished accounts indicate extensive subpopulation declines in all major ocean basins over the last three Hawksbill generations as a result of over-exploitation of adult females and eggs at nesting beaches, degradation of nesting habitats, take of juveniles and adults in foraging areas, incidental mortality relating to marine fisheries, and degradation of marine habitats."

African Wild Ass (Critically Endangered)
1684800229396.png

"Listed as Critically Endangered as the species numbers (at best approximately 200 mature individuals) may be undergoing a continuing decline due to climate and human/livestock impact, and no subpopulation numbers in excess of 50 mature individuals."

Galapagos Penguin (Endangered)
1684799936564.png

"Long-term monitoring indicates that the population is fluctuating, primarily as a result of marine perturbations that may be becoming more extreme through climate change. These perturbations have caused an overall very rapid population reduction over the last three generations (31 years). In addition, the species has a small population and is restricted to a very small range, with breeding confined to a few locations. "

Tehuantepec Jackrabbit (Endangered)
1684799723949.png

"Ongoing decline in the quality and quantity of habitat utilized by the species, coupled with an increase in anthropogenic stressors further threaten this species. These stressors include overgrazing, burning of pastures, an increase in human settlements, poaching, and completion with domestic dogs. The isolation of the four subpopulations also contributes to the likelihood of increased inbreeding which can further jeopardize the fitness of these animals."

Orinoco Crocodile (Critically Endangered)
1684799302292.png

"An inferred reduction in population size of more than 80% over three generations (75 years) due to species over-hunting in the early and mid 1900s meets the criterion A threshold for Critically Endangered... continuing threats by persecution, habitat loss and the limited number of mature individuals occurring in protected areas constitute continuing concerns for this species."

1684801281533.png

Spotted Seahorse (Vulnerable)
1684798979119.png

"Hippocampus kuda is listed as Vulnerable based on suspected declines of at least 30%, first reported in 1998-99 caused by targeted catch, incidental capture, and habitat degradation... It is a valuable species in trades for traditional medicine, curios and aquaria. The demand for this species is high due to its large size, smooth texture, and pale complexion when dried, all desirable qualities for traditional medicine purposes. This species is also incidentally caught as bycatch in other fisheries and affected by habitat degradation."
----------------------------------
1684801255426.png

Giant Otter (Endangered)
1684798750065.png

"The total global Giant Otter population size is low but, more critically, individual subpopulations are fragmented and most are small. Because of its conspicuous behavior and social nature, this species is easy to extirpate and is therefore extremely vulnerable. It remains highly susceptible to hunting (though currently, hunting of Giant Otters is not a common practice). The killing of individuals and entire groups continues in some areas where fishermen are active, including in protected areas."
----------------------------------
1684801223174.png

Black Footed Ferret (Endangered)
1684798452411.png

"Black-footed Ferret is categorized as Endangered because of its very small and restricted populations. As of early 2015, there are about 295 wild born mature individuals distributed among several re-established populations. Of these, 206 are in self-sustaining free-living populations. Of the 24 current sites where this species has been reintroduced, few have viable populations."
----------------------------------
1684801183631.png

Green Sawfish (Critically Endangered)
1684797789746.png

"Sawfish fins are among the most highly valued in the shark fin trade. This high value and international demand incentivized increased exploitation and retention of this species... Habitat loss and the morphology of the rostrum, which makes them susceptible to capture in fishing gear, have also driven declines independently of trade. The Green Sawfish has undergone severe historic and ongoing population declines in most of its range due to overfishing and habitat loss and degradation, resulting in significant range contraction. The species is now ‘possibly extinct’ in 11 of its 36 range states, and its presence is uncertain in 11 range states."
----------------------------------
1684801155143.png

Pied Tamarin (Critically Endangered)
1684797631874.png

"Saguinus bicolor is considered Critically Endangered due to a projected population reduction of 80% or more in the next 18 years (three generations) due to serious multiple threats suffered within a very concentrated range in and around the city of Manaus: deforestation and habitat fragmentation related to expanding rural settlements and agriculture, livestock production, urban development, an expanding energy matrix and road network, routine collection for the pet trade, competition with the Golden-handed Tamarin (Saguinus midas), and high mortality due to predation by dogs and cats, disease, and electrocution on transmission lines."

So now for the scores...

1st place goes to @Salt-marsh Harvest Mouse who got 6/10 animals! You earned 75 points!
2nd place is a tie between @Polar Bear and @Southern Rockhopper Penguin who both got 4/10 animals! You earned 50 points!

Good luck in Pin the Tail, and the last few events!
