Power through!! I just finished a book where my favorite character died, and my friend who finished the book wouldn't tell me anything about it, so I had to suffer alone.

Suffering while reading about beloved characters is the best. You know, in between all the emotional turmoil.

I can't help with that. I get terrible second-hand anxiety for characters doing stupid things, lol. I DNF'd the last book where I was just waiting for things to blow up in the MC's face because I couldn't force myself to get through all the "ladida this plan is going well" when I could just sense the bad shit coming lol.

I can deal with that shit sometimes but its when I know something TRULY horrible is about to happen and I'm like the ONLY one aware I feel sick to my tummy. That's when I struggle through it but it's good because the book is doing what it's supposed to be doing, BUT AHHHH.

Try and self insert yourself into the story and every time a character does something stupid, yell at them until they don't do it again. Very effective.

Yeah there is a reason I don't like any of the characters but also the storyline is interesting but also everyone is basically going to die soon anyway-hence the dread I'm also ready for it but not ready for it too.
