So my high school is having a Culture Fest outdoors and they've gave the students the options to host either a performance or stand (or both) showcasing a culture.

I've asked the sponsors of this event if it would be okay to do a K-POP dance cover or host a South Korean stand even if it wasn't our culture, and they said yes! The only problem is that their performance schedule is full (I'm assuming they went to the culture clubs first like the Indian American Student Association, Black Student Union, Asian American Pacific Islander Club, PRISM Club, etc.) but that they would love it if I did a booth with my friends and that if a performance spot opens up, they'd let us know!

So I need ideas for our stand before I pitch this idea to my KPOP/K-Drama friends! This would kind of make up the fact that I wasn't able to get a KPOP/K-Drama Club formed at my school in time and would make my senior year worthwhile.

I would love to include Korean pop culture (like K-POP, K-Drama, Manhwa, survival/reality TV, etc.) and also the language, food, places, history, outfits (modern and traditional), and other aspects of South Korea. Feel free to include dances we could do in case a performance spot opens up!

The date is April 18 (there's a lot of time to plan this!)

I currently have 5 other people who might be interested in running this with me in mind!

Ooh these are some good ideas! I really like your Squid Game bit. It gave me the idea of people being able to try the Dalgona challenge, especially because many of them have watched Squid Game and/or the reality TV series.

But I realize with food, it's going to be super expensive depending on the crowd size. Also Time consuming to make so maybe not the best option.

Yeah...it's going to be a festival open to the public so probably not. It definitely would be a cool idea though! Dalgona might be a little more possible though.

Yagkwa cookies may be more doable because they’re small, assuming people just sample rather than eat a lot. When I make those I make a really big batch at once. They’re also great when not hot too. They’re traditionally in a flower type shape though I believe which would be more annoying to make, I generally make them into small squares but it’s not exactly “traditional”. As easier option cooking wise would be banana milk. You’d just need to source the milk itself. And the last idea that comes to mind if skewers with rice cakes and mozzarella cheese, but I’m not positive they’d be as good once cooked down (I assume you aren’t cooking at the booth itself).
