Anybody here speak more than one language? (1 Viewer)

English, Korean, Japanese and my native language which isn't either of those. I also know some basic French and German and there's a few languages I can understand the gist of but not speak.

Language is a hobby of mine so I make it a point to learn at least one word or phrase of every language, I don't know all of them yet but most of the well known languages! I'm more interested in writing systems and sentence structuring than speaking so I learned Hangul, Hiragana/Katakana and some Kanji before learning how to speak Korean or Japanese which really helped in learning how to speak. Romanized Korean for instance is targeted at native English speakers so it doesn't make much sense in my native language where for instance "eo" would never be pronounced the way an English speaker pronounces it, being able to read Hangul makes it so much easier to know exactly how it's pronounced without hearing it so I highly recommend learning it first. (It's also super easy and only took me a day to learn)

Anyway, I'm getting a bit side-tracked because it's an interest of mine. :) Oh, and I used to speak Drow (fictional language) a bit but I forgot all but a few words, it's not exactly something you use often and I learned it in my teens.

Haha yeah, I took 5 years of high school Spanish and I still only got an intermediate on my bilteracy test lmao
