Anyone else surprised by B A.P. album sales? (1 Viewer)

Going through their discography it looks like they only averaged 80k an album.

Sure that's not horrible but I was under the impression they were a huge boy group in their prime. I was expecting more like 150k per album.

Not sure what's more shocking to be honest. BAP averaging 80k or Sonamoo averaging 4k.

Not really since during their peak EXO was the best selling group with around 350k sales (single album version). It was only then that album sales really started selling better which is why EXO is said to have revived the physical market in Korea again. 80k is pretty good for theirtime. SM groups were the only groups that actually sold above 100-200k along with Infinite I think. It's interesting though seeing how much groups are selling now. I think popularity wise, Seventeen is probably the closest to BAP success-wise and they're selling hundreds of thousands of albums. I wonder how much BAP would have sold if they lived out their peak right now instead of 2013-2014.

No, they fell behind Vixx around mid 2013 in terms of popularity.

Yeah,like the others said,this actually isn't bad for that time.

That really shows how much k-pop has grown since then,it's crazy.
