TV Anyone else watching Alchemy of Souls? (2 Viewers)

Episode 7 and 8 just dropped this past weekend and they were fantastic!

My favorite actress Jung So Min and the rest of the cast are killing it. It's also got Arin from Oh My Girl and Minhyun from NU'EST.

It's pretty much a Korean version of a Chinese Xian Xia Drama which are extremely popular in China these days.

In my region there are only 6 episodes yet and I can't wait for the next ones. It's so good!

Jung So Min plays Mudeok so well, her eye acting is crazy good. And, as you said, the whole cast is doing great. But to be honest I'm still having some issues with Shin Seung Ho's character. The role he played in D.P. left such a strong negative impression on me, it's hard to shake off :/ Who is your favorite - and least favorite- character so far?

Looking forward to seeing what else is going to happen, since there are quite a few more episodes coming.

Oh yeah, he's shady. Curious if Jang Gang will appear again. Don't really understand how Jang Uk is supposed to be the former king's son, just because his soul was in Jang Gang's body when Uk was conceived. I mean, genetically he is still Jang Gang's son, right? I find that a little confusing...
And are you shipping Mudeok with Jang Uk or Seo Yul? If at all :P

At first I didn't want to ship her with anyone. Especially Jang UK. I thought it would be cool if they didn't force a romantic relationship onto us for a change in a k drama. And they just remained student/teacher. But the more I watch the more I now support a Mudeok/Jang UK ship.

Yeah, I get what you mean. She's so badass, she doesn't need no man. I hope her character doesn't change too much for the romance. And I'm not sure yet if I'm on board... I mean they have great chemistry and definitely have a special bond, but a couple? Dunno
Altough it's even more unrealistic, I have a soft spot for Mudeok/Seoyul. She really is different when she is with him uwu

Ok something else I don't get: Everyone knows Jin Mu is second gwangju and everyone knew that Jang Gang was first gwangju before. How come no one knows who's the current first gwangju except Jin Mu? I mean she's the queen and not even the king seems to know. Did I miss something?

I actually haven't watched past episode 12 yet. I had a video game come out I've been looking forward to and that's been taking all my time. But I was also starting to get so confused on a lot of things that I've almost given up trying to figure all this out.
