Wow… Look at some of these hateful comments. Don’t cross the line, people. You guys are crazy. If you all really wanted what’s best for Mina, you wouldn’t be here spreading hate like this.

Upon seeing Seolhyun’s Instagram turning into an online battleground between the agitated vs. the worried, K-Pop fans have come to an intense discussion over “malicious comments” — one of the most deep-rooted problems the industry has faced.

• “I’m baffled because Shin Jimin is the cause of all the problems, but Seolhyun is getting all the heat. Yes, she was a bystander and to Mina she may have been a bully nonetheless. But isn’t this a little weird?”

You all must think what you’re doing to Seolhyun in the comments is totally different from what Jimin did. Is it though, really? What we should be doing is helping Mina by giving her the support she needs. Don’t waste your time on spreading hate. Focus the energy on pulling Mina out of the dark.

Seolhyun already went through so much sh*t herself. There were dozens of times that her career was almost over but she managed to make it. For some reason Korea is so unforgiving when it comes to bullying though. I remember how shocked I was over T-ara being dumped by Korea and at first I thought they must have had a homicide or drug scandal to have deserved that. I guess manners are so important to them.
Aside from that it sounded like she herself has also been humiliated by Jimin at times, so people are being dramatic as hell.

I wish people would see first hand at how much affect their hate can cause.
Idols are human too, so they will also make mistakes.
If these so called people really want to help Mina, then they should be focusing on helping her get better and give her some love. I'm sure even Mina wouldn't wish this on her worst enemy, which would probably be Jimin.
Plus, I'm sure Seolhyun isn't really a bad person overall, and was probably conflicted, but it's still no excuse to just watch or did nothing whatsoever.

I've read some post translations where people have actually been pretty understanding of the other members. They've pointed out that if Jimin hurt and manipulated Mina then she's probably done so to other members as well.

I don't want to make excuses but from my own experiences with bullying its a lot harder than people make it out to be for a bystander to do something. Even if you step in you take the risk of making it worse and getting yourself bullied as well. This situation is especially complicated because this is their jobs and if your leader reports you to the company that can affect your career.

We can't really know all that happened but this is definitely not the right way to handle things

I don't even like people swamping Jimin's Instagram, so to see that stans have now also taken to Seolhyun is troublesome af.

For the record, FNC's statement does mention that the members have wanted to put out individual statements but the agency has cautioned them against it for now, so her silence isn't entirely her choice. Why are stans so desperate for an explanation anyway, it won't change how they view her. Fuck sake.
