I assume everyone will have at least one group, but do you know of any for your country?

For the US it’s state dependent but I know of these:
-People who have committed certain crimes.
-In some states, certain people with mental disabilities (seems like this has to go against the constitution, but sources say that states have these laws sometimes).
-Permanent residents of US territories, excluding Washington DC (some territories are given US Citizen status, others aren’t. Regardless, those with citizenship can only vote for president in primaries, not the general election).
-Citizens who have never resided in the US, and who’s parent last resided in a state that doesn’t allow those who have never resided to vote in any elections (more than half the states allow those who never resided to vote if their parent last resided, but many don’t. You can’t vote for another state either if it wasn’t your parents last place of residence).

In Canada, certain individuals are not eligible to vote in federal elections. These include:
  1. Non-Citizens: Only Canadian citizens are allowed to vote, so permanent residents and other non-citizens cannot vote.
  2. Minors: Voters must be at least 18 years old on election day to participate in federal elections.
  3. Some Individuals with Mental Incapacity: There are no federal laws that explicitly bar people with mental disabilities from voting, but some provinces have varying regulations that may impact eligibility, particularly for those under legal guardianship. However, Canada generally upholds voting rights for people with disabilities, including mental health disabilities.
  4. Elections Canada Staff and Poll Workers (During Voting Hours): While these individuals are eligible to vote, they cannot vote during their working hours. They may vote in advance polls or by mail.
  5. Those Convicted of Certain Election-Related Offenses: Individuals found guilty of specific election-related offenses may be temporarily banned from voting, depending on the nature of the offense and any court-imposed restrictions.

Note that prisoners serving sentences are eligible to vote in federal elections, following a 2002 Supreme Court of Canada ruling, which determined that denying inmates the right to vote was unconstitutional.
