Are there any disbanded groups you wanted to like more than you did? (1 Viewer)

I got one of Weki Meki's cards today, and it made me think of this. I like the members, and most of their songs are, like, 90% the way there for me, but just never managed to get over that hump from good to great for my tastes, personally.

Do you have any groups like that for you?

I don't think so, I'd rather make an active effort to stay away from disbanded or temporary groups, so I don't feel too sad about it

Sorry, I meant, like, you wish you liked them more when they were active. So it's like, they're disbanded now, and it's kind of a pity because they were *almost* there.

I get how annoying it is to come across a song, be like "this is great!" and find out the group isn't together anymore. The worst!!

yeah but I still would try not to think about it too much or not watch their contents if I know they are already disbanded

Iz*One, I tried really hard to like them but it never worked out. Card-wise, I just collect the cards of the members who are now in Le Sserafim or IVE for example.

it's never get enough for me, they deserved more than anything.. i hate that they had to go through that covid19 after their unnecessary hiatus
a virtual farewell concert?! nah, they really deserved a live concert with all their fans

While I don't think they are officially disbanded however given the circumstances around the members and the brand I'll go with Loona since I followed the pre-debut project and actually thought they were a pretty fun group liking all the members then the debut happened and their music went into a direction that I just did not vibe with at all so I never ended up stanning the group.

SAME. I really liked the creative direction of the group, and there were a few songs I liked, but nothing that really got me into the group beyond that.

That seems fair. Suddenly definitely felt like the standout to me, even as a non-fan.

weki meki always felt like the midway point from f(x) to itzy in teen crush development so I agree they were stuck at that bump for me
can't say ioi because i did follow them
loona maybe, they came on my radar when they first started girl of the month but never quite did it for me

I remember that I thought: "Wow is this the Twilight Zone version of f (x)?"

I liked some of their other songs too but I missed their dark, surreal, mysterious side too much. So I lost interest.

After I stumbled over 'Midnight Circus', 'Pray', and 'The Grasshopper Song' and watched the MVs, I was sure I just found my favorite 2nd gen K-Pop girl group.
I remember that I thought: "Wow is this the Twilight Zone version of f (x)?"

I liked some of their other songs too but I missed their dark, surreal, mysterious side too much. So I lost interest.

I forgot about them!! They had a really interesting niche for a minute there.
