Ngl I didn’t know community colleges had bachelor options, idk why but I assumed they had only associates at most

It's a first and they had to get a special law passed in california to offer it. It's actually a very good degree but I couldn't pass the math requirements. It was a degree in Automation.

Even though people use college and university interchangeably, they are different in this way.

College: Offers mostly Associate programs in 2-year community colleges and undergraduate programs (bachelor’s degree) in 4-year colleges.

University: Has a bigger range in both undergraduate and graduate (Master’s and Above) programs.

What is an institute?

That I’m not sure about. For all intents and purposes it’s basically a synonym of college and university but I don’t know if there’s officially set difference for an institute and the others

According to rando person on the internet it's a university but more practical majors and not as good education wise. Another rando helpfully pointed out you can't get a diploma from one. Which is obviously nonsense to both, there are institutes that outrank the vast majority of universities and obviously you get diplomas from them

Most of it lines up with what I've seen, and I appreciate that they acknowledge the fact that the name doesn't mean it's that type of institution. Though I do wonder about the fact that they say colleges can even be religiously affiliated, to me it seems to imply that universities can't be when religious universities exist (at least they're named as universities). But the rest sounds like an overview of what seems to be the accepted view. I doubt most people will ever make sharp distinctions anytime soon though, kind of like the venomous and poisonous blending.
