I only even know the phrase hard stan at all from the times you used it here, nvr heard it mentioned or the meaning of it elseweb or any of my oomcs(one of my chat-grps on kpop wa/telegram[ok i lie im not on any telegram kpop chat grps but only cos i aint found any).

But i reiterate, "Im scared to search for hard stan/soft stan meaning now from the replies in this thread's implications-let me remain blissfully unaware of wat the depraved corners/underbelly of kpop world contains in my ignorance will ya? Ok."

Even if i do know a non-scary kpop hard stan here, ill pass on knowing wat it means until the day i cant avoid knowing/finding out. Thnx.

Its not the scariness of the ppl who say theyre hard stans, only the reply from the user upthread who reacted wildly at the realisation/discovery of the meaning of hard stan vs soft stan, id be happily living my whole rest of my life nvr knowing why tat reaction-same as not reading 50 shades of sex book to know/find out in detail more abt the rudiments of wat tat book contains. My guess n imagination is vivid enuf i assure u, no need to pollut it even more with hard truths n facts. We all adults here i think. N theres no 18+ tag on this thread, so unless OP doesnt know wat hard/soft stan means/differs on wat way. Im satisfied as is knowing wat little i already know. Thnx. I dont think im shutting my ears like a little kid saying LaLaLaLa, i just prefer it this way.

LOL TO BE EXTRA FAIR some definitions of "hard stan" are more extreme than others, and i am pretty sure they found the extreme one some definitions are much more milder.

It's part of why I insist on saying "medium" stan because yeah some definitions of hard stan are scary.

I mean not that I was any better at that age, but STILL

I think it's bcs these kids are developing interest in that stuff for the first time in their lives and want to show that to the whole world. LOOK HOW GROWN UP I AM and stuff.

I stay in a lot of 18+ kpop communities just to be free from kids screaming and fighting and spamming slurs 24/7, anddd I see a LOT of adult hard stans lol. Most are pretty chill though, and they're old enough to know there's a time and a place... and its not the general chat

Yeah that's the difference between older hard stans and younger ones.
The older ones are able to talk about an idol without mentioning sex in some way or another

The kids are the ones who are loud and easier to notice XD

ngl i'm fine with 14 year olds being hard stans but i find it weird whenever i see people who are 28 years old and above thirsting over underage boys/girls
